Description
The multifaceted author, actor and director Jordi Oriol has worked with Shakespeare's texts several times in collaboration with the director Xavier Albertí. Now in Gràcia we bring together the trilogy that corrupts three Shakespearean tragedies - three texts that are a personal distortion of Hamlet, The Tempest and Macbeth.
The version of Hamlet is a monologue in verse which focuses on the moment when he becomes isolated and self-conscious. The moment when he finds himself alone, facing his destiny. Condemned to freedom. The being that struggles to exist, trying to define itself, to delimit itself; to be what he has not inherited, what is his and only his. Something in Hamlet acts hastily. It is the fall of the H: the letter that is there, but does not exist.
