Description
The multifaceted author, actor and director Jordi Oriol has worked with Shakespeare's texts several times in collaboration with the director Xavier Albertí. Now in Gràcia we bring together the trilogy that corrupts three Shakespearean tragedies - three texts that are a personal distortion of Macbeth, Hamlet and The Tempest.
We are bewitched by a spell, blinded by capital - today's isthmus between the top and the bottom, between good and evil - which offers us the power and the illusion of freedom. Dominated and eternally dissatisfied, we abuse power and exceed authority by creating countless crimes that have brought the world to the brink of collapse. Now that the natural world has been destroyed, we are left with the world of language. We have been cursed because of the harm we have done to our language. An allegory about the power of the word and the delirium of the imagination.
