The Teatre Lliure is once again taking part in Dansa Metropolitana, the metropolitan festival which focuses how dance is disseminated in its full range of expressions and languages. It is an urban network of cultural complicities that the Lliure believes as one of its main objectives. This season's shows are Amber, Toná and PLI.

Three couples dancing simultaneously clearly show the passion, the intimacy and the attraction through universal gestures of the human body, pushing oral expression and the awareness of being alert to the back. The six dancers from the prestigious Hungarian company Hodworks express themselves sensually in abstract fashion, free of all human personal experiences. Behind the dancers’ almost instinctive movements, the audience can experience how they achieve the essence of passion.

The Hungarian company Hodworks was founded by the choreographer Adrienn Hód in 2007. Her choreographies, several times selected for and winning prizes at international festivals, tend to deconstruct, destabilize and remodel previously existing dance structures. The focus of her work is the status of the performer, taking verbal and physical expression to extremes. Through her singular dance, she opens up a parallel reality that constructs from the unconscious and ecstasy.
