The Teatre Lliure is once again taking part in Dansa Metropolitana, the metropolitan festival which focuses how dance is disseminated in its full range of expressions and languages. It is an urban network of cultural complicities that the Lliure believes as one of its main objectives. This season's shows are Amber, Toná and PLI.

This set brings to the stage 22 conference chairs, an obsessive rhythm and a devout man. On a small platform, this singular dancer determinedly immerses himself in effort for the undefined construction, reconstruction and deconstruction of the universe. The outcome is an intelligent, playful solo, a physical metaphor of the infinite human dynamic, patience and effort, which turns even the most mundane objects into pieces of incredible architecture. It’s a set where Baroque robustness encounters contemporary minimalism in an ingenious, humorous way.

Based in Prague, Viktor Černický creates works that walk a fine line between dance, circus and physical theatre. His works, based on inquiry into the dynamic between a performer and an object, have delighted audiences all over Europe and earned him several awards. With PLI, he has been chosen for Aerowaves Twenty20.
