Description
The Lliure awards each year Creative Exchange Residencies, in the framework of the Grants to the creation Carlota Soldevila. With the pandemic, the proposal in collaboration with The Centre of The Less Good Idea from Johannesburg, to South Africa, to be carried out by the creators Calvin Ratladi and Joan Solé, had to be postponed until this season. Both artists have modified their projects and are now proposing a joint work entitled On són els forats? [Where are the holes? ].
Calvin Ratladi delivers A Hole in Waiting - a performance-lecture that directly examines the position of the body in the postcolonial conditions of the mining industry in South Africa. The project acknowledges the graves of thousands of people as a result of an aggressive drilling system of the environment during the collapse of apartheid.
