Description
Poulette Crevette is a little chick who doesn’t quite fit in with the others because she doesn’t speak. With the help of her mother – and with music, humour and empathy- the entire chicken coop learns how to live together in harmony. Through a plotline written by the show’s director, Françoise Guillaumond, this story targeted at little children takes place inside a fence which stands in as a chicken coop. The children will enter it, accompanied by the actresses, and the adults will watch them from the outside. With music, theatre and a fun invented “chicken language”, they can share the problems of the “little pink chick” who is different from the others and help her find her place within the group.
It is a story brimming with humour and suspense which speaks about other abilities, difference, respect and understanding and brings meaning to the term living together. In a world where differences are less and less accepted, defending the values of empathy, respect and listening is essential, as is learning to live together from the youngest ages.
