How do we deal with cultural/artistic phenomena that are unfamiliar to us? Do they awaken our interest? Curiosity? Indifference? Do they bore us? Do they scare us? Do they paralyse us? Do they activate our brains? Do we risk our cultural choices? Are we open to new proposals, which we have never heard of? How do we deal with them? Curious? Prejudiced? Critical? Where do we look for proposals? Do we pull recommendations from friends with our own tastes? From the media? From the networks? Do we have a spirit of 'explorer' that makes us curious about proposals from cultures that would be foreign to us?

Born in Pamplona, Isabel Sucunza holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Navarra. She worked as a reporter on the city film, theatre and art beats in the Guía del Ocio (entertainment guide) and over time focused on recommendations of books and writers. She contributes to TV programmes about books such as Saló de lectura (BTV) and L’hora del lector (TV3), and in 2014 she and Abel Cutillas decided to co-found the bookshop Llibreria Calders in Barcelona. She is the author of La tienda y la vida and has written books on La Directa and El Nacional. She currently contributes to El Periódico.

We consolidate the experience of a more democratic dialogue with the third programme of La taula [The Long Table]. This time round, we offer you seven events with a line-up featuring conversation with the hosts Denise Duncan, Quim Bigas, Isabel Sucunza and Oriol Puig Taulé. The latter three artists will be responsible for two sessions each, but will be covering different topics in each one. In this original project by the Split Britches company, anyone can talk about what they want, starting from an initial topic while always following the etiquette of listening to each other.
