Description
Borja Bagunyà, Paula Bonet, Joan Fontcuberta, Shaday Larios, Marcos Morau, Alba Sotorra, Xron and Joan Yago are the personalities invited to the sessions of the renewed Escola de Pensament, directed by Albert Lladó and Marina Garcés.
After three seasons, the Escola de pensament takes a leap forward. The art of conversation, which until Season 20/21 has held a monthly meeting space in the Gràcia theatre, evolves towards a thought elaborated from desire and commitment. Thus, l'Escola de pensment now moves to Espai Lliure and proposes a program of sessions that will develop the same problem, from beginning to end, from several points of view and for a group of attendees. Being part of the Escola will now be a collective challenge, one of reflection and learning.
A forum for dialogue, criticism and debate organised by the Teatre Lliure and coordinated by Marina Garcés and Albert Lladó, where the tools of theatre art and philosophy are used to consider today's great conflicts.
WHO CAN IMAGINE A WHITE BEAR?
We start from a problem: fiction and reality have separated so much that, or we fabricate realities far removed from us (utopias, dystopias, uchronias...), or we limit ourselves to relate and confirm what we lived in our own name and from its own immediacy. Between fantasy and literality, who can imagine a white bear?
From the Escola de Pensament we do not believe that there is a conflict between the document and fiction, but a problem that affects the faculty of imagining. What is true? What legitimacy do we have to share realities that are not strictly ours? What truth can we share from what we have not lived directly?
These questions point to an artistic, ethical and political problem that we think is conditioning today the cultural, social and activist panorama to such an extent that it needs careful reflection, plural and creative. That is why we will have guests from various fields in each session, working materials proposed by them, and the interaction of a group of apprentices who are willing to undertake this adventure together.
After each session, the actor and sound creator Joan Solé (artist in exchange residencies two seasons ago) will produce a capsule, a sound recreation/collage of the idea worked, to give a second time to the thought from the experience of each encounter.
